No split-hits (any ball on the table not going to a rail (the cue ball or pocketing a ball) after hitting your object ball. A ball off the table is spotted and it is the other shooter's turn with a ball in hand.

NO COACHING

  • No coaching; however, you may ask your team captain or your opponent whether you have the stripes or solids. You may ask for a ruling on a hit, or what is required on a frozen ball for a good hit from both team captains. No reference to English or where to hit the ball. You may ask if the table is still open. You may ask if a foul was committed against you or you may ask someone to watch a hit.

PLAYING

  • You have the stripes or solids. You may shoot in any order all the balls in your category until you are on the eight. Clearly call which pocket the eight ball is going into, get an acknowledgement from someone on the other team. The eight ball is the only ball that must be called. All others count if pocketed.

  • If your position is bad and you cannot decide what to do, you may hand your opponent the cue ball, ball in hand. Should they have the same dilemma as you, they in turn hand the cue ball back to you (3 times). No shot, it's a draw or if you both decide the game is a draw, re-rack. Same person breaks again. If however, one of you wishes to continue, keep shooting or giving up a ball in hand until both players stop shooting and as above, it's a draw
